Great leap forward in tablet sales: nearly + 25%

Strong leap forward in sales of tablets : this is what is evident enzia IDC in its analysis of tablet sales during the third quarter 2020. An increase of 24 , 9% , for a total of 47, 6 million pieces sold, which counterbalances the sales difficulties recorded in the same period of last year and is also motivated by the global scenario with the pandemic that characterizes all nations.
In addition to the pandemic, which led to the purchase of mobile devices to be able to entertain quickly and easily, there was also the need to have home devices available for communication and to perform remote teaching which led to the purchase of tablets in the period.
Apple maintains the first position among companies operating in this sector of the market with an overall share of 29, 2% for a total of 13, 9 million iPad tablets sold: on an annual basis le this represents a growth of 17, 4%.
Samsung ranks second with a volume of 9.4 million tablets and a market share of 19, 8%: a clear leap forward that of the Korean company , which grew by just under 90% compared to the same period in 2019.
Third position of Amazon , with a total volume of 5.4% and a market share of 11, 4%. For this company the scenario is essentially stable, with a slight contraction of 1.2% compared to the third quarter 2019. Huawei ranks very close to Amazon with a total of 4.9 million units sold and a share of 00, 2%: for the Chinese company the annual growth amounted to 32, 9%. In fifth place we find Lenovo with 4.1 million tablets sold in the period and a market share of 8.6%: the company was able to record very strong growth, above 62%.
