Intel’s upcoming Xeon processor architecture, the Sapphire Rapids, will feature HBM (high-bandwidth) memory support as per has been leaked into the Intel ISA extensions.

Intel Xenon Sapphire Rapids will support DDR4 and HBM memory, in addition to PCI Express 5.0

In it, you can see the documentation related to the error checking of the memory controller integrated in these processors, where it refers to both the support for DDR4 and HBM memory, all through the instructions 0220 H and 0221 H.

The Intel Xenon Sapphire Rapids will provide a breath of fresh air for the range of professional range processors nal for data centers with new technologies and major changes. In addition to the aforementioned support for HMB, which will allow you to achieve memory bandwidths much higher than DDR4, they will also have the integration of DSA (Data Streaming Accelerator) accelerators and support for PCI Express 5.0 connectivity to connect the different accelerators and elements of the system.
