Artists and manufacturers generally communicate the time of a drop via social media such as Instagram. You should make a note of the date and time – that is the first requirement that you have the slightest chance of getting an item.

The clothing and skateboard brand Supreme is a drop veteran. Their drops always start every Thursday at 12 clock on the website of the New York shop. The jackets, sweaters and shoes are often sold out after a few seconds. The artificial shortage arouses desires and drives strange flowers: nonsense articles once offered by the manufacturer such as bricks and fire extinguishers printed with the Supreme logo can be found at moon prices of 1000 Euros on eBay again. Something like this should not be supported under any circumstances and simply ignored the overpriced articles.

These examples may seem strange, but one must not neglect the psychological pull of drops with limited articles: Faster, than you think you can get into a vortex and the must-have-it-feeling takes over. Don’t let that overwhelm you and make rational purchasing decisions. Furthermore, if you can’t resist and buy items at completely inflated prices, the debt trap is not far away. Do not underestimate this type of shopping addiction!
