With Node-RED it is no problem, for example, to read out sensors that are connected to the GPIO pins of a Raspberry Pi and to send the determined data via Twitter or email. The distribution of information in the local network via the IoT protocol MQTT is also a piece of cake and Node-RED even supports the creation of web applications with very stylish interfaces.
