We took a closer look at three promising offers that are available for Android as well as iOS or iPadOS: Yousician, Fretello and JustinGuitar.

While Yousician and Fretello have content for beginners, advanced and professionals, JustinGuitar is aimed primarily at guitar beginners or those who are back to the game who already master a few simple chords.

The apps use different ones Learning concepts: While Yousician and Fretello listen to the guitarist playing via the built-in microphones of the mobile device and react to his play, JustinGuitar relies on video learning content without a listening function. In return, the latter service most closely resembles a real guitar teacher, since namesake Justin Sandercoe personally moderates the video lessons.
