Most companies want to save costs with the public cloud. However, they can only be monitored when using multiclouds with tools such as VMware’s CloudHealth.

Most companies now use public cloud services. Flexibility and the hope of lower costs usually speak for this. But with the latter, expectations and reality are often far apart. VMware promises that CloudHealth can monitor costs. How well this works is examined by an article in the current iX 11 / 2020.

All major providers offer their own management tools, with which you can keep an eye on costs. But these are of little help as soon as several platforms come together in a multicloud. CloudHealth can monitor the three hyperscalers AWS, Azure and GCP in one tool.

However, VMware’s tool can do even more: Those responsible can also use it to manage the areas of security and compliance. Jens-Henrik Söldner and Guido-Arndt Söldner explain how this works in the article.
