The lockdown is being extended and we are extending the submission deadline for our Makerspace Challenge: The new deadline is 14. March 2021.

We’re looking for your makerspace hacks Show us your best makerspace hacks and helpers at the makerspace challenge, from the misanthropic vacuum robot to elaborate key systems to practical storage for small electronics. On our Make Projects project platform, you can work on projects together in a team, even if you don’t have the opportunity to stand together in the workshop. You can of course also show projects that have existed in your space for a long time and that are perhaps just waiting to be finally photographed and put into words.

This is what our template looks like for the projects that you just have to fill in.

The challenge Create helpers or projects that improve your space! There are no limits to the ideas. Register together as a team for your makerspace on Make Projects. This invitation is of course also valid for all open workshops, FabLabs, Hackerspaces and Co. Create a project at Make Projects and document there in pictures and text how you built everything. The more detailed the step-by-step instructions, the better. Then upload a short video in which you present the finished result.

Prizes for the most beautiful projects The best three projects will be selected by our jury. We pay particular attention to how original (better said: “awesome”) your project is, how well you can recreate it with your documentation and what the price-performance ratio looks like.

We award prizes the three best projects, each with a gift basket full of equipment that every space can use: In it you will find a 14 – piece tool bag for Electronics projects from Knipex, a set with the Pro Tech Toolkit and the magnetic project mat from iFixit and filament sets with five rolls of PETG in different colors from the filament manufacturer 3dk.berlin. But even more important: The best projects (and of course the corresponding makerspace) are presented in Make magazine.
