Now more alternatives are coming onto the market. Not only the manufacturers of SSD controllers have brought new models onto the market, some of the large SSD manufacturers are also coming up with their own solutions. But SSDs with PCIe 3.0 are not yet a thing of the past, with LC-Power we are again testing a manufacturer who just launched its first SSDs last year.

Four PCIe 4.0 SSDs were found for testing in the editorial office: Adata XPG Gammix S 50 Lite, Integral UltimaPro X3, Silicon Power US 70 and Western Digital WD Black SN 850. The three models with PCIe 3.0 are Corsair MP 400, HP SSD EX 950 M.2 and LC-Power Phenom Pro. The SSD 950 Pro from the SSD market leader Samsung is fast, but also relatively expensive.
