Intel and IO Interactive, the developer of the next Hitman 3, have reached a collaboration agreement whereby both companies will work together to optimize the game, both at the time of its launch and in the successive patches and improvements that are subsequently updated.
One of the main objectives of the collaboration is to optimize the graphic engine and other elements of the game so that they can take advantage of the current multi-core processors. Specifically, the company mentions that processors with 8 or more cores will be able to show more elements on screen and destruction physics in more elements taking advantage of the extra cores.
Hitman 3 will support Variable Rate Shading and Raytracing
It will also support VRS (Variable Rate Shading), a technology that we have already talked about with the launch of the RTX from NVIDIA or the most recent RX 6000 from AMD and that allows better use of GPU resources by prioritizing zones most important parts of each scene to focus resources on them and achieve better shading quality by freeing up resources from other more remote and less important areas.
Post-launch Raytracing effects will also be added via an update.
Must see if these optimizations are limited to Intel processors only through some game specific limitation, or if AMD CPUs can also be taken advantage of. The Hitman 3, remember, will be released exclusively for 1 year in the Epic Store.
