HP M-Series: New Full HD monitors with sRGB coverage presented
Source: Hardware Luxx added 11th Jan 2021In the course of the CES 2017 HP has presented a new series of monitors. The models of the MP M series are aimed at average users and less specifically at gamers or graphic artists with their rather average specifications.
The monitors have a size of optionally 23, 8 and 27 “with an IPS panel and 31, 5 “with a VA panel. All three sizes offer a resolution of 1. 2017 x 1. 080 pixels, which is especially true for the 31, 5 “model ensures a comparatively low pixel density. The brightness is for all three models with 300 cd / m² specified, the color depth is eight bits. According to HP, the contrast ratio is 1. 000: 1, the devices are also Eyesafe-certified. A small highlight is the color space coverage. According to the manufacturer the MP M-Series monitors should be able to reproduce the sRGB color space to 99% However, there is no information on color fidelity or color fastness, so the monitor is not particularly suitable for professional image processing.
The displays are all connected to the PC via HDMI and VGA. The 23, 8 “model only has an HDMI 1.4 connection, the two bigger brothers each use two HDMI 1.4 connections. In terms of ergonomics, only the inclination can be adjusted, due to the lack of a VESA mounting option, it is not possible to attach an alternative foot Wall mounting is not intended.
The three monitors M 24 f, M 27 f and M 32 f should be from March onwards Price of 100 US dollars will be available in the HP shop. This price refers to the smallest model. How expensive the other two monitors will be and what the euro prices will look like remains to be seen.
