Huawei knows how to remove scratches from smartphone screens. The company has filed a patent application with documentation
Source: Pure PC added 28th Dec 2020Huawei’s National Intellectual Property Office has filed a patent application for a method for removing scratches on glass. The documentation was delivered to the relevant unit just before Christmas, exactly 22 December. Naturally, the technology of removing scratches on the glass pane applies to smartphones, while Huawei means both the front and the back of the devices. It is true that we do not know yet how deep the cavities can be filled with the new method of the Chinese concern, but this type of solution gives us hope for the future. Perhaps in a few years’ time, scratch removal will be an inexpensive, on-the-go service that anyone can afford.
If you are struggling with the constant scratches on your smartphone screens, we have good news. Huawei patents a method for effectively removing scratches from glass surfaces.

Classic cell phones were undoubtedly less vulnerable to the effects of falls. Yes, memes with “armored” Nokia 3310 did not have much to do with reality, but these devices forgave a lot. The glass structures of today’s smartphones break when they hit hard surfaces more violently, but this is not the only problem. The second disadvantage is scratches on the display. Sure, we can apply a protective film or tempered glass to the screen, but this is only a half-measure. It is also difficult to maintain the aesthetic value of the device. Huawei had an idea how to fix this.

Process It consists of two parts – surface preparation and proper elimination of damage in the form of scratching. For the front glass, rub it with alcohol. An ultrasonic cleaner is used to prepare the backs. After these steps, you will be able to use a special acrylic mixture (35 – 45%), epoxy resin (50 – 60%), initiator (2-3%) and “other” substances (2-3%). The process is completed with hardening of the “mortar” using ultraviolet light with a wavelength from 320 to 320 nm . We are waiting for information on the future of the patent.
