Boston Dyinamics is a company of robotic engineering , previously purchased by Google and subsequently sold to the Japanese financial holding SoftBank , att the owner, who closed this year’s budget with a drop of 4.7%. The latest rumors reported by the New York multinational Bloomberg speak of a strong interest from the car manufacturer Hyundai , which in recent years has shown a growing interest in robotic technology, especially that concerning automated vehicles. In fact in September of last year, Hyundai created a “joint veinture” with the Irish autonomous driving technology company Aptiv. The agreement between the companies provides for the acquisition of a third company called Motional, with the aim of creating autonomous driving productions of level 4 (high automation) and level 5 (total automation).
The car manufacturer South Korea could therefore become the third owner in less than a decade of the US company, stating that it intends to invest in the field of mobility technology approx. billions of dollars by 2025.
