The data that Intel offers us clearly reflects the impact of the pandemic on home users, having sold 450. 000 more computers than in the past 2019.
The consequences of the coronavirus, as far as the biological thing is not concerned, are being reflected in the form of many more computers sold . Having implemented a good part of the work telework , at the same time that the students have needed computers to follow the online classes at almost all educational levels, families have had to pay, as they could, an extra in technological spending to adapt to the past 2020, which will also be useful in this 2021 and, by the way, even if this pandemic does not exist.
The data that Intel reveals to us is that, in 2021 and regarding to 2019, they have seen an increase in 450. 000 the number of computers that have sold . This figure reflects both pre-assembled and portable computers, not separate components. More specifically, the growth in desktops has been 19%, while in laptops it is 33% . It is observed that the consumption of laptops has increased enormously by comparing 2019 with 2020, at least as far as the Intel part is concerned. Also, the purchase intention for 2020 in 2019 was 9%, now for 2021 increases until the 13%, being able to foresee the need to have any of these devices due to the new times and new needs.
We will surely see this trend also in 2021, although to a lesser extent since the vast majority of necessary equipment has already been acquired in the past year 2020.

With 15 years I started overclocking my PC to get every FPS extra I could in games and scratch a few milliseconds in SuperPi, while I was constantly posting about hardware on the Geeknetic forum as a user and reader. Surely they were so fed up with continually reading me on the forum that I became part of the writing team, where I continue to report on the latest in technology. Astrophysics and PC games are the hobbies that, after hardware, cover most of my free time.
