Increase internet speed in Italy: here is the ranking of the regions with the fastest download connection

The latest study carried out by SOStariffe .it compared the average connection speed of the last year with respect to 2019, tracing the ranking of the Italian regions in terms of speed of the home network. In the article the complete ranking

In Italy in the last year a general speed increase of 25% compared to 2019, with an average speed in the peninsula of 48 Mbit / s compared to 38 Mbit / s of last year. Although we are talking about general data, some regions have improved more than others, where there are cases that have registered a decrease with a negative variation .
Specifically, at the top of the ranking we find the region Lazio , with a difference in variation compared to last year of + 56% , followed by Campania with + 50% , at the bottom of the list are Valle d’Aosta and Sardinia , with a decrease of – 6% compared to 2019. Piedmont is not affected.
Regarding the download speed leads the ranking the Campania with an average of 63 Mbit / s , followed by Liguria with 62 Mbit / s , all ‘last place we find the Valle d’Aosta with only 21 Mbit / s of average speed.

The search data was obtained thanks to the users who performed one speed test to check the speed of your connection, available on SOStariffe.it.
The analysis carried out on the regions also highlighted which users nowadays have a connection equal to or greater than 100 Mega download . The data obtained revealed a step forward in the regions Molise ( + 80% ) and Trentino Alto Adige ( + 60% ), compared to last year.
Surprisingly, several regions have registered a significant decline in users who have been connected for at least 100 Mega. This is the case of Puglia ( – 25% ) and again black shirt for the Valley d’Aosta ( – 60% ). The national data however recorded an increase of + 22% in this category.
For those who need it, it is always possible to take advantage of the bonus provided by the Conte government to encourage the activation of an ultra-broadband connection. Since last November 9th the nuclei with Isee lower than 12 thousand euros can get the voucher of 500 euro also useful for buying a PC or tablet , by contacting one of the accredited operators. The bonus serves to cover the costs of a subscription of at least 30 Mbps maximum download speed and the cost of a new device to surf.
