With a totally unexpected announcement, Bethesda Softworks unveils an unreleased project dedicated to a franchise well known to cinema fans, and not only.
Let’s talk about the new video game inspired by Indiana Jones , title in development for next-gen platforms at the studios of MachineGames , responsible for the Wolfenstein series. The reveal arrives on the same day we welcomed Lucasfilm Games , who will be collaborating with Bethesda for the project dedicated to the most famous archaeologist of the silver screen.
Indiana Jones, the game: Todd Howard will be executive producer
The latest “bomb” from Bethesda Game Studios comes from the social profiles of the US publisher: a simple teaser trailer was enough to unleash the enthusiasm of the fans.
A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!

In a according to tweet, Bethesda also revealed that Todd Howard will serve as executive producer. Howard – game director of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – will oversee work on the project Indiana Jones, while the development was entrusted to MachineGames.
The title created by the Swedish software house will tell a story of the whole original , unrelated to the films of the film saga. However, as Lucasfilm Games itself anticipates, the events of the game will be set “at the height of the career of the famous adventurer”.
Unfortunately, nothing is known yet about the target platforms . Indiana Jones is a next-gen project, but could only land on Xbox Series X – and eventually PC – given the recent agreements between Bethesda and Microsoft. The publisher confirms that the public will have to wait a little longer before discovering more details about the game: will it be able to arrive on PS5?
