A new e-book reader has just been launched – inkBOOK Calypso Plus. What distinguishes it from dozens of other e-readers? The fact that book lovers will not finally have to choose between reading them and listening. Priced at 549 golden inkBOOK will allow us both for both pleasure. E-reader reads formats such as doc, epub, fb2, html, mobi, pdf, rtf and txt. Thanks to Android 8.1, it also works with Legimi, Woblink, Kindle, Ebookpoint, Empik Go, Publio and Storytel. In addition, thanks to the built-in Bluetooth connectivity (there is also WiFi), we can connect a wireless speaker or headphones to it and thus listen to audiobooks.

inkBOOK Calypso Plus is an e-reader with a 6-inch E Ink display, which thanks to the work on Android not only reads e-books, but is also able to play audiobooks thanks to cooperation with well-known suppliers.

The reader is equipped with a 6-inch E Ink display with a resolution 1024 x 758 pixels (212 ppi) – there is no shortage of backlight adjustable in several levels, also in terms of color. The panel is also tactile, although no one will prevent us from moving pages using physical buttons. Calypso Plus is powered by a Cortex-A processor 35 and 1 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of built-in memory for books. Also new is the USB OTG function (using an external medium as an additional data store), and the battery with a capacity 1900 mAh should allow a week of work on a single charge.

The device measures 159 x 114 x 9 mm by weight 155 g. Charging is via the microUSB port. Naturally, the device does not contain any advertising, as is the case in the Kindle brand designs.
