Insta 360 comes with a new camera after Insta 360 ONE R which landed in Italy this summer. The latest model is called Insta 360 ONE X2 and promises performance high resolution, high resolution 360 ° shooting capabilities, waterproof and compact size so you can take it anywhere for your shooting.

Insta 360 ONE X2: technical features

The camera Insta 360 ONE X2 can shoot with different shooting modes (four in total) which include: 360 °, Steady Cam, InstaPano and MultiView. 360 ° you get up to 5.7K at 25 fps or 4K 50 fps and 3K 100 fps. If you want a wide angle video but without the 360 ° you can choose the Steady mode arriving at QHD 50 fps. Instead at the photographic level at 360 ° images are captured up to 6080 x 3040 pixels (2: 1) or panoramas up to 4320 x 1440 pixels (3: 1). The modes that can be set are Standard, HDR, Burst, Interval, Night Shot, PureShot and InstaPano.

The mode 360 ° a 5 , 7 K obviously allows to cover a broad view of what happens around the user. For the processing of the videos you can instead rely on the AI ​​integrated in the app or manually choose the final result. The Steady Cam mode aims to shoot with a lower viewing angle (but always wide-angle) while counting on greater image stabilization. With the InstaPano mode you can instead capture panoramas by optimizing the scene that appears in front of the lens. Finally, the MultiView mode allows you to have two virtual cameras so as to show two scenes at the same time with different fields of vision and magnification.

In in general, however, it will be possible to take advantage of the stabilization based on a 6-axis gyroscope called FlowState to have a fluid recovery while PureShot aims at improving the range dynamic even when there is little ambient light (reducing noise).

The equivalent focal length is 7.2mm while the aperture is f / 2.0. Sensitivity ranges from 100 to 3200 ISO while the white balance can be automatic or set to five levels. The exposure is given for +/- 4EV.

The other camera specifications

Insta 360 ONE X2 is certified IPX8 so you can use the camera underwater up to 10 meters (without additional houses). If instead the optional case is adopted, it will be possible to reach up to 45 meters. For those who dive can use the AcquaVision mode that optimizes colors and sharpness of the images.

As already happened for other models, through the app you can choose a subject that is always inside of the shot. This also allows you to film with other elements entering and leaving the scene. There are also four microphones to support stereo audio and reduce wind noise. You can also control some functions through voice commands.

The app of Insta 360 , which fully supports Insta 360 ONE X2 , allows you to process movies directly from your mobile device. There are already some preset options like Dolly Zoom, Stop Motion, Clone Trail, Shadow Clone and Ghost Town. Inside there is a 1630 mAh battery which should guarantee, according to the manufacturer , an autonomy of 80 minutes when using 5.7K shooting at 30 fps. The dimensions are equal to 46, 2 x 113 x 29, 8 mm with a weight of 149 grams.
