Intel released new storage media yesterday at its Memory and Storage 2020 event. The company introduced new products to the front of both NAND and Optane SSD drives and memories.

Consumer first new side is designated surprisingly less SSD 670 p, which continues to 660 p’s footsteps. The new station uses a 144 layered NAND chip with QLC cells as well as an updated controller circuit. 670 p becomes available 512 GB – 2 TB capacities for M.2 bus consumers and the U.2 bus to the business side

On the software side, Intel has increased the amount of cache in the SLC mode of the drive by an average %% when the drive is partially full. 512 In the GB drive, the SLC cache is at its maximum 64 and a minimum of 6 GB, in the terabyte version 128 and 12 and 2 blade versions 256 and 24 Gt.

Intel SSD 670 p SSDs will be available during the first quarter of the year.

Another novelty is the consumer side Optane Memory H 20. It is an M.2 bus hybrid station with integrated both NAND memory utilizing QLC cells and 3D XPoint memory. It is known that the drive has a new Optane controller as well as 670 upgrades borrowed from the p drive for the NAND side. Optane Memory H 20 drives have 32 GB of Optane memory and 512 GB or terabytes of NAND memory.

Optane Memory H 24 hybrid SSDs will be available in the second quarter of next year.

On the data center side, Intel released 144 – SSD D7-P using layered TLC NAND memories 5510 – drives, also 144 – SSD D5-P using layered QLC NAND memories 5316 drives, Optane SSD P 5800 X drives using second generation 3D XPoint memory, and Optane Persistent Memory 300 Series Series Crow Pass codenamed 3D XPoint DIMMs
