Intel says goodbye to its Optane SSDs for the home market

Following Intel’s decision to divest its memory division, including its facilities, to sell to SK Hynix, the continuity of several of its memory products that sector was in question. However, the Optane memories were not part of that agreement as it was a joint project between Intel and Micron (the latter was in charge of manufacturing), where various information suggested that the collaboration between the two companies would be renewed to continue development.
Be that as it may, it seems that Intel has decided to discontinue its entire range of Optane SSDs for the consumer sector, leaving only hybrid solutions for laptops such as the Optane Memory H

This means that while laptops with the 11 Process generation Other low-power Intel notebooks may continue to integrate hybrid SSDs (consisting of Optane and Flash memory) H 21, desktop or notebook solutions consisting solely of Optane SSDs will disappear from the market.
