Intel today started the process of discontinuing its Intel Core Avengers Edition processors , which were released a few months ago and, despite their potential appeal, don’t seem to have seen big sales, especially given the low popularity these chips have had on the internet.
This discontinuation has been officially announced in a PCN (Product Change Notification), in which we can see that once these processors are discontinued, the recommended product is still the standard chip , remember, the Intel Core Avengers Edition processors never had anything special beyond out of the box, so internally Intel may have moved some processors from some boxes to others for sale.
This PCN with the number 117894 – 00 mentions the day 16 December as a common date for the four phases of this process , which are the beginning of the discontinuation of the support of the product, the deadline for distributors to order this product, the date orders become non-cancellable, and the final shipping date.
Be that as it may, this document finally goes on to mean that Intel completely ends manufacturing, distribution and support for Intel Core Avengers Edition processors.
