Intel has presented a new artificial intelligence chip that will allow, according to the company, to bring low-power artificial intelligence capabilities to laptops , so this chip, the Intel Visual Sensing Controller which It comes under the code name of Clover Falls, it is a “companion” chip, designed to work with the computer’s processor, instead of replacing it.
Among other things that can be achieved with sensors, cameras and other devices capable of reacting to external stimuli, A laptop can be allowed to detect when a user is in front of the equipment , adjusting the brightness according to the situation, since a computer that is not in use When nobody can have the screen brightness set to the absolute minimum, or even off, without resulting in a usability problem.
Intel suggests that the new Clover Falls module will arrive on computers that meet Intel EVO specifications soon , so we may learn more about it in January 2021 , when CES 2021 takes place.
This new AI module will be one of the tools that laptop manufacturers will be able to use to ensure that the user experience with computers certified for Intel EVO platform meets the requirements for certification.
