Intel's upcoming Alder Lake processor in a leak image

The first leak image of the Alder Lake processor reveals the future LGA 1700 strain to be as wide but clearly higher than the current LGA 1200.

Intel announced a week ago that new Rocket Lake processors will hit the market in the first quarter of next year. The company has had to tighten its publishing cycle in the face of clear ongoing process problems and intensifying competition, with Alder Lake, the successor to Rocket Lake, also scheduled to release next year.

Alder Lake will be not only Intel’s first 10 nanometer desktop processor, but also the first more powerful hybrid-x 86 processor. Alder Lake-S processors will be equipped with up to eight powerful Golden Cove cores and eight energy-efficient Gracemont cores. Intel’s first hybrid-x 86 processor for laptops is released in Lakefield.
