The German IoT provider 1NCE is expanding its portfolio with a SIM card for cloud-based IoT projects that offers one year of free connectivity. With the offer, the company wants to lower the entry barriers for IoT projects, announced 1NCE. The free “1NCE For All” tariff is available exclusively in Amazon’s AWS Marketplace. When booking one or more cards, developers receive twelve months of mobile connectivity free of charge, without risk or further contractual obligations, promises the provider.

The free IoT SIM card is valid for twelve months and offers 50 MByte data volume. Each customer can order up to 100 cards. The cards expire after one year and are not renewed automatically. Users can then switch to the regular flat rate of 1NCE for 10 US dollars per card, which includes ten years of connectivity with 500 MByte data volume and 250 SMS offers. Development, activation and operation of the devices networked with the SIM cards takes place via the IoT Connectivity Suite for AWS, which 1NCE presented in the summer.

Internationally networked By working with network operators all over the world, 1NCE offers a cellular connection for IoT devices with 2G, 3G, LTE, LTE-M and NB IoT at no additional cost for roaming. In this country, the cards also work in the network of Deutsche Telekom, which is involved in 1NCE. According to its own information, the provider operates more than five million active SIM cards for over 3500 customers. 1NCE has also been offering its IoT Flat Rate in the AWS Marketplace since April.

“We are pleased to be working with 1NCE. This is how we support our customers and enable them to utilize the full potential of their IoT solutions Exploiting AWS, “said Dirk Didascalou, AWS Vice President IoT. “Our goal has always been to take the complexity out of IoT projects,” adds 1NCE founder and CEO Alexander Sator. “With our one-off tariff, calculating the operating costs (TCO) has never been easier. By working with AWS, we are taking this simplicity to the next level.”
