We have recently talked about the colossal Loop project, studied by The Boring Company to revolutionize the city transportation system of Las Vegas . The company of the eclectic Elon Musk has in fact in its plans a system of underground tunnels in which to circulate Tesla electric vehicles: a sort of underground made of electric cars, halfway between the taxi and the metro.
We had reported on the advanced state of work for the first part of the project, the one designed to connect the various pavilions of the huge LVCC more quickly – Las Vegas Convention Center -. The first service station was shown in a video, as usual ‘very sober’, in perfect Musk style.

The news, reported by Bloomberg, is that the City Council of Las Vegas has approved the extension of the citywide project , with an underground system of tunnels that will link the airport to the Strip, extending to ‘Old Las Vegas’ of Fremont and Main Street, with a side branch to join the Strip even more secluded casinos, such as the Palms, but also the ultra-modern stadium, created after the purchase of the Raiders franchise and which will host the home games of the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL and UNLV Rebels of the NCAA.
The project will not be funded by public money , but private entities will bear the costs. The Boring Company will cover the cost of the main tunnels, while the casinos will pay for the secondary stations and tunnels. The Boring Company is already thinking about the next venture and the Loop system will also be brought to Austin .
