Leaks: AMD gives green light to Radeon RX 6900 XT custom models

According to leakage sources, AIB manufacturers’ own RX 6900 XT models will go on sale at the beginning of next year.
When AMD released the Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, it was announced that the top model Radeon RX 6900 XT would only be available as a reference model. However, AMD was rumored to be negotiating with AIB (Add-in board) manufacturers on possible custom models
. Now, two independent sources have reported that AMD has given the green light to AIB manufacturers ’own RX 6900 XT models. Both Overclockers.ru and MyDrivers report that they have received confirmation from their own sources.
The Radeon RX 6900 XT will go on sale as a reference model on December 8, but the release of AIB models will have to wait until the beginning of next year. A potential launch event for AIB models could be the CES 2021 virtual fair, where AMD CEO Lisa Su will give her keynote presentation next year.
