All ‘ inside the code of the latest beta of macOS Big Sur there are references to three new Mac systems that could be released on the market over the next few weeks and could be the first confirmation from Apple of the arrival, by the end of 2020, of systems based on Apple Silicon processors.
References to new Mac systems in the latest Big Sur beta: Apple Silicon coming soon?
The code appeared in beta 1 of macOS Big Sur 10. 0.1 which was released this week to developers. Files signaling the presumable imminent presentation of new Mac systems have appeared in the System / Library folder. In that folder macOS stores bundled files with references to various Mac models, and in the beta released this week are three files with codes that have no match with systems currently available on the market.

Specifically, as the HackerTech user noted on Twitter, there are MacHardwareTypes files which include the codes 2020 f , 2020 ge 2020 h : the reference code of the MacBook Pro from 16 inch most recent is 2020 de other files in this location refer to the latest MacBook Air, iMac and MacBook Pro models from 13 inches. The reference files contain no data and cannot be analyzed to try to extract information from the models to which they are associated.
Meanwhile, the rumor has been circulating for some weeks according to which Apple has already started work on organizing a new presentation event next November 17. The most likely is for the debut of a new line of MacBook portable systems from 12 inches equipped with Apple Silicon processors based on ARM architecture. For desktop systems, however, we will probably have to wait for the spring of 2021.
