Stories about the future of money are in demand in the Magic Future Money writing competition. Hopeful authors can participate with a story written in German – 30 selected stories should then be published in a book, with a prize money of 0, 01 Bitcoin wave. At the current rate, which has recently risen sharply, this is the equivalent of around 310 euros.

What we are looking for are “stories that are future-oriented in the broadest sense and whose plot is influenced by the presence or absence of any kind of ‘money’ and the resulting consequences,” says the competition page.

From love story to crime thriller The extent to which money appears in the story is not something you want to pretend – there are also all possible genres from romantic love stories to dystopian thriller conceivable. Above all, it is about literary quality and inspiring ideas and visions. You have to write the story yourself and not have published it elsewhere; it should also be no longer than 5000 words.

The competition was organized by the blogger and journalist Friedemann Brenneis, submissions are until 31. March 2021 possible online. The whole thing is supported by German companies and organizations related to crypto money, such as the Berlin start-up Bitwala and the Bundesverband Bitcoin eV The nine-member jury includes CCC spokesman Frank Rieger.
