MCHOSE AX5 Pro Max Review

Introduction
Founded in 2018, MCHOSE is a gaming peripherals company based in China. With the AX5 Pro Max, MCHOSE joins the ranks of Finalmouse (Starlight), Razer (Viper Mini SE), or Pwnage (StormBreaker), in releasing a mouse whose top shell is made of magnesium alloy. The main benefit of a magnesium shell over traditional ABS plastic is potentially better structural rigidity, while keeping the weight in check at 55 g. In terms of internals, the AX5 Pro Max comes with PixArt’s PAW3395 sensor capable of 26,000 CPI, and polling rates of up to 8000 Hz are supported for both wired and wireless (2.4 GHz) operation. MCHOSE cites up to 100 hours of battery life using 2.4 GHz wireless—presumably at 1000 Hz—and up to 130 hours using Bluetooth. Optical switches from TTC see use for the main buttons, and the feet are made of pure PTFE. Configuration is possible within software, which does not require installation. Three variants are available within the AX5 series: the AX5, AX5 Pro, and AX5 Pro Max, the latter of which is offered in black, white, and pink color variants.
