Mediatek presented its SoC based on Cortex-A 35 and 7 nanometer Dimensity technology 1000 + 5G this year, but plans, according to a leak in gizchina, to release two new processors improving current technology with a 5 or 6 nanometer process and Cortex-A cores 78, thus offering better efficiency and speed in terminals that opt for these mid-range SoCs at a more affordable price.
These new chips with name MT 6839 and MT 6891 and it is not yet known if they will be manufactured with a 5 or 6 nanometer process, they are an evolution of their Dimensity 1000 + 5G, with an improvement of 20% with respect to this . The new SoCs would be available very soon, as the manufacturing process seems to be well advanced and it is possible that they could see the light before the end of the year.
Mediatek is a strong competent when it comes to mid-range processors , Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 750 G present in terminals with good features such as Xiaomi Mi 10 T lite with good features at an affordable price. But Mediatek has the Dimensity 720 for the low range and Dimensity 820 for low mid range , it also has SoC for gaming phones, the Helio G 35 and G 25. In this way, more than enough features and 5G connectivity can be brought to the entry range of some brands.
