The first users of the stable version of the Microsoft Edge web browser report the appearance of previously missing features. The news relates to the issue of synchronization, and specifically to sharing open tabs and browsing history between different devices connected to the same account. Thus, the application of the Redmond giant becomes fully usable and will offer people using it what most competition offers. I must admit that Microsoft made us wait for the mentioned novelty for an exceptionally long time. The question is, will it work smoothly and as smoothly as possible?

The Microsoft Edge web browser receives the functions of synchronizing browsing history and open tabs between user devices. How do I access what’s new?

Paul Thurrott informs that some users of the stable version of the Microsoft Edge web browser have gained access to two new functions in the synchronization menu. The first lucky ones can now exchange browsing history and open tabs with their other devices connected to the same user account. In this way, the application catches up with competing solutions that have been allowing these activities for a long time. Nowadays, the lack of this facility is a significant drawback and the Redmond giant had to react.

The interesting thing is that the feature comes to users gradually. So it may turn out that the new thing will appear on your computers today, tomorrow, in a week, or maybe in a dozen or so days. We do not know what specific criteria Microsoft follows when making the tool available. However, you need to know that the change is made on the server side and there is no need to update the browser itself. So check your settings tabs and when a new feature comes out, activate it and enjoy full synchronization of your open tabs and browsing history.
