With the ongoing corona pandemic and the extended shutdown, the return to normality is also in the year 2021 not to think at first. As a result, public activities in particular are reduced to a minimum. In particular, those where you could come into contact with many people must be completely set. Of course, this also includes gatherings of people in public places. Scenes that could be observed in the year 2016 with the release of Pokemon Go, of course, does not want to cause an enterprise during a global pandemic. For this reason, Microsoft has now announced the end of Minecraft Earth.
Like Pokemon Go, Minecraft Earth, published in 2019, relies on Augmented Reality (AR) . With the version released yesterday, however, all players are now slowly saying goodbye to the title. Only until 30. June 2021 the AR game from Microsoft can be played. The resources that are released are then to be used for other purposes. However, it is not known exactly where. It also remains to be seen whether Minecraft Earth will bring Minecraft Earth back to life in the future after the pandemic has been successfully overcome.
