In mid-October we called on our readers and community members to sign up for this year’s modding contest, which we are once again with numerous hardware partners and sponsors, such as Fractal Design, MSI, AOC, Seagate, Patriot or AMD and EKWB. Since then, we have received new applications almost every day, which have been given a lot of effort, including detailed PDF documents, with many pictures and initial ideas. The feedback this year was again amazing and confirms that we have hit the nerve of the times, especially during the Corona period!

Already in the last few years the participants had worked hard and created true works of art out of their cases. Among them were entire pirate ships, chic jeans conversions and of course one or the other futuristic housing mod. The projects always showed great attention to detail and were created with a lot of sweat and passion in the spare time. We are excited to see what awaits us this year and what the participants will conjure up!

As in previous years, the participants are not only allowed to choose their preferred case, but also receive a large hardware package. These components have to be used later in the projects.

So that the work can start as quickly as possible after the short delay in the application process and the products can be sent as quickly as possible, we don’t want the applicants long Tense up and choose the participants. We are happy to announce that the five forum users “Raceface”, “brometheus”, “MCXERXES”, “i2r” and “IQryder 66 “are among the lucky ones. You will be notified shortly by email and informed about the further process. You will shortly receive your case and the hardware package.

Conditions of participation:

Every participant is obliged to keep a diary in our forum. The diary must be provided with text and image material every two weeks during the entire contest and must only remain in our forum. Employees of Fractal Design, all participating sponsors and Hardwareluxx Media GmbH as well as moderators of the Hardwareluxx forum are excluded from participation. The hardware provided must be fully integrated in the project.

Preliminary procedure:

• Application phase until 11. October 2020 20: 00 Clock
• Start on 25. October 2020
• End of processing time is on January 3rd 2021, 20: 00 Clock
• Vote by the jury (Hardwareluxx editors / forum users) to 10. January 2021, 23: 00 Clock
• A few days later, the winner is officially announced
