At least some of the motherboards in the 400 series will also support PCI Express 4.0 speeds with the new processors, but the motherboards in the 500 series will have other including a new M.2 connector directly connected to the processor, taking advantage of the four new PCIe lines added to Rocket Lake processors. In addition, 500 series motherboards increase the DMI 3.0 bus between the processor and the chipset to double the speed by eight bands.
