New firmware for Sigma lenses and a Canon EF adapter

?? Sigma lenses (and an adapter) update! This time it’s up to five Canon EF mount lenses to update themselves to allow correct operation with both the MC adapter – 11 EF-E but also with two Canon SLR cameras.??

The update campaign dedicated to the Sigma objectives does not stop and the latest news concern models with attachment Canon EF . There are five updated models with different bug fixes or performance improvements, depending on the model to which we refer. Here is the complete list of what’s new.

Sigma lens firmware for Canon EF

For lens Sigma 18 – 200 mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Contemporary some changes have been made to improve its operation. In particular, the exposure was optimized when shooting from the viewfinder with Canon EOS 90 D and the precision of the ‘AF using the MC adapter – 11 EF-E and MC- 21 EF-L.

The Sigma lenses 70 – 200 mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Sport and Sigma 100 – 400 mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary have been updated to allow better exposure optimization when shooting from the viewfinder with EOS 90 D and EOS-1D X Mark III.

The 150 – 600 mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sport saw the finish update to optimize viewfinder shooting with EOS 90 D and EOS-1D X Mark III. Also fixed a communication problem when using Live View on the EOS-1D X Mark III.

The latest model to be updated is the 20 mm F1.4 DG HSM Art . As with some other models, exposure optimization was used when shooting from the viewfinder with EOS 90 D and EOS-1D X Mark III. Reduced the noise of the diaphragm blade operation when connected to the MC adapter – 11 EF-E and with normal use on Canon cameras when shooting movies.
