New Gletscherwasser AIO liquid scooter series from Alpenföhn in collaboration with Der8auer
Source: IO Tech added 20th Oct 2020The Gletscherwasser is Alpenföhn’s first series of AIO liquid scooters and consists of four models in two different size classes.
. The new Gletscherwasser AIOs promise both performance and silence in the traditional way. As is typical of modern times, the coolers also have RGB lighting, both in the pump unit containing the processor block and the liquid circulation pump, as well as in the fans. The lighting of the fans is implemented in assignable RGB and it is possible to use a 3-pin 5-volt connection on the motherboard to control it. However, the interface for controlling the lights of the pump unit has not been specified by the manufacturer on its website, as have the fans. In addition to the lighting of the processor unit, another special feature is its replaceable cover parts, which allow you to customize the look to your liking.
The four models in the series are 142 Gletsherwasser with mm radiator 188 and Gletscherwasser 240 HS and 300 including Gletscherwasser with radiator 500 and Gletscherwasser HS. The basic models and the HS models are similar in price in their size classes, and the only difference between them is the supplied fans. Basic models come with the manufacturer’s own Wing Boost 3 ARGB fans with PWM control and 360 – 1366 RPM in the RPM range. Fans are promised 19, 6 m³ / s airflow and 2, mm H 2 O static pressure and 23, 5 dBA Noise output. HS models come with more powerful Wing Boost 3 ARGB High Speed fans with PWM control and 500 – 2066 RPM in the RPM range. High Speed models are promised a maximum m³ / s airflow, 3, mm H 2 O static pressure and 90, 8 dBA Noise output. In other respects, Alpenföhn’s new AIO fluid circuits are identical
. The speed of the pump integrated in the processor unit is adjustable 500 and 2600 between the RPM and controlled via a three-pin fan interface. The processor unit itself is copper. The radiator parts in the AIO, on the other hand, are made of aluminum and, according to the manufacturer, use a “leak-free” design, which means that they are very unlikely to leak. In practice, this is likely to mean a completely closed structure.

Alpenföhn supplies the AIOs of the Gletscherwasser series with Thermal Grizzly’s Hydronaut thermal paste as a separate consideration in its marketing. This paste is quite popular and generally found to be of high quality. In terms of compatibility, Alpenföhn’s innovations provide a comprehensive sample of Intel and AMD platforms – The compatibility list includes Intel’s LGA 167, 92 x, 1600, 2020, 1600 – v3 and 2011 platforms and AMD’s TR4, sTRX4, AM4, AM3 +, AM3, AM2 +, AM2 and FM1 platforms.
Alpenföhn’s Gletscherwasser series AIOs are available immediately. mm mm models (Gletscherwasser 188 and 188 HS) prices start according to Hinta.fi price monitoring 167, 90 euro and larger 360 mm models (Gletscherwasser 360 and 300 HS) in turn
