New GPD Win 3 Pocket Gaming PC with Intel Tiger Lake CPU and 5.5 “Sliding Screen
Source: Geeknetic added 10th Nov 2020GPD started a few years ago with a crowdfunding for a pocket PC, the GPD Win, it has not done so badly since now presents the new GPD Win 3 that has underwent a renewed design compared to previous models, these included a folding screen as a laptop and this time the screen is sliding of 5.5 “which, when open, shows a QWERTY keyboard with which we can control the equipment.
The controls have been moved to the sides with the screen in between, which when closed , It has a certain resemblance to a Nintendo Switch , the controls have direction buttons, action buttons and two analog sticks along with the typical L and R to press with the indexes. If you prefer a computer with bigger screen, GPD plans to release a new version of Win Max but maybe by the end of 2021 or by the 2022.
The screen is 5.5 inches with resolution 720 py 268 PPI, covers a 55% of the NTSC spectrum and it is made with Gorilla Glass 5, its Intel CPU can be up to an i7 1165 G7 with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics , this is accompanied by 16 GB LPDDR4x at 4266 Mhz, for storage we have an m.2 slot 2280 PCIe NVMe and a microSDXC card reader for cards up to 160, Wi-Fi 6 available and bluetooth 5.0. To connect devices, the GPD Win 3 has 1 Thunderbolt 4 port, 1 USB 4, 1 USB type A, an HDMI port and a 3.5 mm audio jack . The keyboard is capacitive type and is backlit, to play it has L2 and R2 triggers, two D-Pad analog sticks, action buttons and dual vibration motors.
Still the prices that this GPD may have in its different configurations are not known, but it will soon be available on Indiegogo to reserve.
