Boston Dynamics released a new video of his robots to wish a happy new year . The company just acquired by Hyundai shows the company’s famous robots as they engage in dance choreography. Of course this is a new opportunity to show what these robots are capable of and their impressive movement skills .
Robotic Engineering Company Boston Dynamic was acquired last 10 December by the Korean multinational Hyundai Motors , after passing into the properties of Google and SoftBank . The robots made by Boston Dynamic have become famous all over the world, we remember Spot, the robot with the appearance of a quadruped, which can be purchased from any company for a modest sum of 74.500 EUR.
We have seen these robots enter the US military , helping doctors , carrying heavy loads and perform a backflip, but perhaps see them at work in a dance choreography was what was missing. The funny video was published by the company for to wish everyone a happier year than the past one, and not he could do it better. Atlas, Spot and Handle dance coordinated to the rhythm of the hit Do You Love Me by The Countours just like in the famous scene by Dirty Dancing .
Best wishes from Boston Dynamic: here is the video
The video begins with Atlas juggling like an enviable dancer running, jumping and improvising real dance moves . The scene continues with the coordinated entrance of Spot showing all his four-legged skills, and finally enters Handle on two wheels closing the choreography.
Boston Dynamics is a of the best-known US robotics companies, is mainly concerned with implementing and training the AI in their robots to give them a purpose; the company is part of the Japanese technology conglomerate SoftBank which bought it from Google for an undisclosed sum.
His best known creation, Atlas , is one of the most advanced humanoid robots in the world . Reminds the appearance of a man roughly: he is tall 175 centimeters, weighs 82 kilos and moves thanks to a sophisticated electrical and hydraulic system. Atlas has acquired the ability to jump over obstacles , perform backflip and turn on itself in a fast and smooth. He also knows to open doors , to collect and transport loads heavy and remain in perfect balance even if forced walking on uneven ground; it is also distinguished by the ability to resist shocks and to get up without difficulty in the event of a fall. Interesting skills for a constantly growing humanoid thanks to artificial intelligence.
Spot , on the other hand, is a more agile robot capable of moving even on the most rugged terrain. Spot is able to avoid obstacles at 360 degrees independently or remotely. Businesses can customize Spots by adding specialized sensors, using their software, and implementing other types of equipment. The first customers are already testing Spot, as series production has already started. They use it to monitor construction sites, to carry out remote inspections of gas, oil and electricity plants, all while guaranteeing work safety for workers.
