Nintendo takes over the Canadian development studio Next Level Games. The studio is best known as the developer of “Luigi’s Mansion 3″, which 2019 was sold exclusively for the Nintendo Switch .

Next Level Games already had the title ” Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon “and” Metroid Prime: Federation Force “developed exclusively for Nintendo consoles. “Super Mario Strikers” and “Mario Strikers Charged” are also part of the Canadian company’s portfolio.

Because Next Level Games Developed exclusively for Nintendo for years, no immediate changes are expected for gamers as a result of the takeover. In a communication, Nintendo writes that the purchase should further deepen the cooperation. The takeover should therefore be completed in March 2021. There is no information about financial details.
