We had recently written about a new one NiSi lens intended for mirrorless cameras . Now the Chinese company has officially announced it confirming part of the specifications. This is the NiSi 15 mm f / 4 ASPH which is proposed as a solution for those looking for a wide angle lens at a good price (perhaps to be combined with a NiSi filter).
The characteristics of NiSi 15 mm f / 4 ASPH
The new lens NiSi 15 mm f / 4 ASPH has an optical design that provides 12 elements divided into 10 groups. Inside there are also an aspherical element and two elements with very low dispersion to allow to obtain a good image quality. The focal length is 15 mm equal to 22 mm APS-C with distortion that should be very limited (useful for architectural photography) and sharpness from center to edges.
The maximum aperture of the aperture is equal a f / 4 while the minimum is f / 22 while its structure provides 10 slats with light points “star” . The viewing angle is equal to 112 ° for full-frame while it reaches 78 ° on APS-C. The focus is manual and allows to reduce production cost, weight and price for the end user. The minimum focusing distance is 14 cm .
The NiSi 15 mm f / 4 ASPH has a weight of 470 grams, also thanks to the aluminum structure, with dimensions of 75, 6 x 80, 5 mm. Could not miss the support for filters of 72 mm (circular) or filters plate of 100 mm. Currently there is support for Nikon Z, Canon RF, Sony E and Fujifilm X. For the latter attack, however, it would not seem to be currently available in Italy. The official price for our country is instead set at 479 EUR with availability in about two weeks.
