Nvidia announces $329 GeForce RTX 3060, available in February
Source: The Verge added 12th Jan 2021Nvidia is announcing its new $329 GeForce RTX 3060 card today. While the company only just introduced an RTX 3060 Ti for $399 last month, this latest RTX 3060 addition is designed to replace the aging GTX 1060 Pascal cards that many PC gamers are still using today.
Nvidia is promising 10 times more ray-tracing performance with the RTX 3060, making it very tempting for those looking to upgrade PC parts or full machines. Like the rest of Nvidia’s RTX 3000 cards, the RTX 3060 will also be capable of using Nvidia’s suite of RTX apps and DLSS support.
Nvidia’s DLSS technology uses neural networks and AI supercomputers to analyze games and sharpen up images at lower resolutions. DLSS allows a game to render at a lower resolution and use Nvidia’s image reconstruction techniques to upscale the image and make it look as good as native 4K or better.
Nvidia is planning to release the RTX 3060 in late February worldwide, priced at $329.
