On December 2nd, NVIDIA will officially present the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, which will be the cheapest of the so far presented cards based on the Ampere architecture. Due to the use of a more truncated GA core 104, we expect slightly better accessibility compared to the GeForce RTX 3070. The specification of the card has been known to us for a long time, and in recent days one of the manufacturer’s slides, presenting the card’s performance, has been released to the network. According to NVIDIA, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti should be better than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER. However, we did not know if the manufacturer would also use its Founders Edition variant. It looks like it will, and it will be a design similar to the GeForce RTX 3070.

Upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will be based on Ampere GA core 104-200 with 4864 with CUDA cores and 8 GB of VRAM GDDR6 memory on the 256 – bit bus. Looking at the specification, we think that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti should not differ too much from the more expensive GeForce RTX card 3070, especially since, according to the manufacturer’s declaration, this system will be slightly more efficient than the RTX 2080 SUPER. The base core clock will be 1410 MHz, while in the GPU Boost mode it will increase to 1665 MHz. In turn, the effective clock speed of GDDR6 will be 14 000 MHz. The computing power of the card is 16, 2 TFLOPS. For comparison, the GeForce RTX 3070 offers the power level 20, 3 TFLOPS.

Now we also got to know the look cards in the Founders Edition. And what can I say – the RTX 3060 Ti looks the same as the more expensive RTX 3070. The manufacturer used two fans with a diameter 90 mm, placed centrally over the laminate. Stylistic NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition refers to the previous generation as well as the more expensive RTX card 3070 , being a product in black and metallic colors, strongly exposing the elegant fins of the heat sink, which is an integral part of the housing. Everything is surrounded by a frame made of a single piece of aluminum and decorated on the spine with the GeForce RTX logo. The premiere is scheduled for December 2, and the price of the card, according to recent reports, is to be up to 399 dollars (MSRP).
