There is new information on the internet about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card 3080 Ti, which has been around for several weeks. The new card is to be a direct response to the most powerful, competitive AMD Radeon RX chips 6000, but we still do not know when GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be available for sale. According to the new information, the mentioned card from NVIDIA will have the same core as the GeForce RTX 3090. So I’m talking about the Ampere GA 102 with 10496 CUDA cores. The difference, however, will be in the amount of memory and bus, and thus in the amount of bandwidth. Unfortunately, along with the information about GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, there was also a report about GeForce RTX 3070 Ti whose version with GA core 102 has been quietly canceled by the manufacturer.

According to the latest reports, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be equipped with GA core 102 with 10496 CUDA cores and 20 GB of memory GDDR6X on 320 – bit bus.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, according to the latest reports, will be equipped with 20 GB of GDDR6X VRAM on the bus 320 – bitwise. These will be memory timing identical to the GeForce RTX 3080, and therefore effective 19 000 MHz, which will translate into 760 GB / s. TGP will also remain at the same level as RTX 3080. So it will be 320 W. Looking at the specification, we can get the impression that the differences between RTX 3080 Ti a RTX 3090 will be very small, however the upcoming RTX 3080 The Ti should be noticeably cheaper as long as the availability of the new Ampere chips improves, of course.

RTX 3080 Ti FE:

PG 133 – SKU 15,

GA 102 – 250 – KD-A1,

20 GB GD6X,

the same FP 32 count as 3090, 10496 FP 32,

the same MEM speed and TGP as 3080,

no NVLINK.

There is also new information about the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. It seems that for now the manufacturer has completely abandoned the GPU project, which was supposed to be based on the GA core 102 with 7424 CUDA cores and 10 GB of GDDR6X VRAM. Therefore, we expect only the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti as a cheaper alternative and the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, for those who need very high performance in 4K but with a lower price compared to RTX 3090.
