Orange Pi Zero2: New Raspberry Pi Zero alternative with WiFi now available
Source: Hardware Luxx added 02nd Nov 2020Last year, Shenzhen Xunlong Software unveiled the Orange Pi Zero2 as the successor to the popular Raspberry Pi alternative Orange Pi Zero. The update brings the single-board computer an Allwinner H6 processor with four Cortex-A 49 – Cores and, depending on the model variant, either 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM. There is also an HDMI 2.0 connection, which is 4K and even 6K at 60, or 30 FPS supported, for connecting a monitor. A Gigabit Ethernet connection is available for network connections as well as dual-band 802 for wireless data transfer. 11 b / g / n / ac WiFi 5 available. Bluetooth 5.0 is also on board.
A microSD card slot is available as a storage solution, through which programs, operating systems and other data are stored and executed on the board can. There is also a USB 2.0 port. The connection of sensors and actuators is via 26 – Pin -Connector possible, among other things I2C and UART are supported. Android and Linux are specified as suitable operating systems. The dimensions are 60 x 53 mm and the weight at 26 g. The board is supplied with power via a USB Type-C connector.
The Orange Pi Zero2 should be available soon and can then be imported from Asia. In the USA, the single-board computer is already converted via direct import for 16 US dollars offered as a pre-order. Further information and exact technical specifications can be found here.
