PNY with the new XRL8-CS3040-NVMe-PCIe 4.0-SSD series

Tiger Lake and the upcoming Zen 3 generation are pushing this development even further. Already at Computex 2019 PNY made an effort and presented its first M.2 SSD model with the designation CS 4040. Unfortunately, to this day, interested parties are still waiting in vain for an appearance.
It is all the more gratifying that PNY has recently launched the XLR8 CS – series has announced an M.2 SSD with PCIe 4.0, the transfer speeds of 5. 600 MB / s for reading and 4. 300 should reach MB / s when writing. In the sizes of 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB, the CS 3040 – Series will be available on the market this year, optionally with or without lamellar aluminum cooler.
Compared to PNY’s older pre-production models CS 2130 and CS 3030 the XLR8 CS 3040 should be much faster will. According to the manufacturer, these are to be expanded by a model with 4 TB storage volume and sold as a budget solution. The company commented on this as follows:
