Adobe has announced the release of the first version of Premiere Pro compatible with Mac with Apple Silicon , as we recall, were recently released in the form of a MacBook Pro, a MacBook Air, and a Mac Mini.
These teams have been receiving support relatively quickly by various software companies, including Adobe, who after the recent support for Lightroom and Photoshop , promised full support for Adobe’s suite of applications, and in today’s announcement, It is Premiere Pro which has received a version for the company’s new ARM processors.
It should be noted ar that there are some bugs that could cause problems for users, so in addition to listing them, they recommend using the standard versions through Rosetta 2, although the known problems are the following:
- Tapping the tool selector on the touch bar (MacBook Pro) may cause a crash
- Team Project collaborators may appear without connection
- Drag bookmarks in the timeline or the program monitor may cause the program monitor to flicker
- Estimated file size when exporting may be wrong
- Project Manager has an incomplete set of presets , as well as some weird presets
- Using the Lumetri color controls while the source program or monitor is set to multi-camera view may cause the application to hang
Also, there are some parts of the application that do not work, which are the following:
- Learning panel and in-app tutorials
- Not all video and audio effects have been ported
- Legacy Titler (use essential graphics workflow instead)
- Motion graphics templates created in After Effects (MOGRTs created by Premiere Pro work)
- Old subtitles workflow (Please use the new subtitles workflow which is available in both versions s beta, Apple Silicon and Intel )
- Interchange formats (XML, AAF, OMF)
- Capture panel and preferences
- Device control preferences
- Support for third-party plugins, including panels, effects, scripts, and stream
