ASUS MSI Powercolor Radeon Ships AMD

AMD partner video card manufacturers yes prepare to 18 November , the day on which the custom project-based solutions will be brought to market Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT . To raise the wait, some companies have seized the ball of the echo generated by the presentation of the last few hours to to preview some of the models they have in the pipeline.

Asus, one RX 6800 XT with hybrid heatsink

Asus , for example, has a rather complete range of products on the launch pad consisting of several cards, one of which is distinguished from a liquid cooler with radiator from 240 mm and hoses from 600 mm. The ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6800 XT comes with a hybrid cooling system which fuses air and liquid. The liquid system takes care of cooling the GPU and GDDR6 modules surrounding the chip, while a blower fan blows fresh air onto the PCB to cool the power circuitry.

The radiator sees the presence of two fans from 120 mm which are optimized for high static pressure and high airflow, plus the ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6800 XT features a FanConnect II connector that allows the GPU to drive the case fans.

There will also be a “more traditional” ROG Strix, with a trio of axial fans (with the central one turning clockwise and the external ones anti-clockwise) and a heat sink capable of occupying almost 3 slots. The PCB will also be shorter than the entire board. Finally, Asus is creating TUF Gaming versions of the Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800.

Gaming X Trio coming to MSI

MSI, during a live broadcast on YouTube, showed the MSI RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio, a top-of-the-range card equipped with three fans and capable of occupying three slots . In reality these are renderings, not real photos, but the project seems to largely resume the one seen on the RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio. The Taiwanese company is also working on other custom solutions, so photos of the models of the MECH, EVOKE series and so on could emerge in the coming weeks.

Guess what? PowerColor works at Red Devil

With a tweet and a video PowerColor anticipated the arrival of the Radeon RX 6800 XT in the Red Devil version. At the moment nothing concrete is seen, except a large card that should be cooled by a triple fan system. All that remains is to wait, especially the specifications of all these proposals given the rather high clocks of the RDNA 2 GPUs: we could see some good ones!
