In November we called on our readers and community members to apply for our latest reader test in collaboration with Arctic. We were looking for three testers for a brand new CPU cooler from the manufacturer. We have now started the selection of the participants.

The Arctic Freezer 50 was only officially launched in mid-October and is mainly for the new Ryzen – 5000 – processors of the AM4 platform, but also for numerous current Intel processors with LGA socket 1200, 115 x, 2066 and 2011 (- 3) thought. To cool such a processor, the tower cooler has a total of six, 6 mm thick copper heat pipes and of course a large number of aluminum fins, which are powered by two fans with a diameter of 120 and even 140 mm are supported. You work with 200 to 1. 700 revolutions per minute and should work particularly quietly.

Thanks to DirectTouch, the heat pipes lie directly on the processor, which favors the absorption of waste heat. In order to keep up with the current trend, the Arctic Freezer 50 via integrated RGB lighting with 13 individually controllable LEDs, whereby these are configured using common software tools from the mainboard manufacturers and have it automatically coordinated with other components. There is also an A-RGB controller available at an additional cost. Overall, the tower cooler has a total weight of just under 1.2 kg and reaches dimensions of 148 x 149, 5 x 166 mm.

In the price comparison is the Arctic Freezer 50 from about 55 euros. With the A-RGB controller it is about 15 euros more. Three of our readers can now test the CPU cooler free of charge as part of a reader test.
