Reader's test: These are the testers of the SilverStone Sugo 14!
Source: Hardware Luxx added 13th Dec 2020In cooperation with SilverStone, we called on our readers and community members in November to apply for our latest reader test. We were looking for three testers for the SilverStone Sugo 14. We went through all the applications in the morning and started to select the participants.
Despite its compact dimensions, the new Mini-ITX housing should be 247 x 215 x 368, 1 mm (W x H x T) and thus a total volume of 19, 55 liters shine with a high degree of flexibility. On the one hand, the case can be used both standing and lying thanks to eight different footrests, on the other hand, SilverStone produces the Sugo 14 made of steel and plastic. The look is relatively restrained, is mostly black and attracts attention, especially with the yellow stripes on the front. The I / O panel is placed on the side and offers two USB 3.0 interfaces, one USB 2.0 and a combined 3.5 mm jack socket for connecting a headset.
A highlight inside is the multi-purpose bracket, which makes numerous different configurations possible. If you do without water cooling and are satisfied with a single 3.5 inch drive, you can even use a 5, 25 – use inch drive. However, if you want as many internal drives as possible, you can accommodate up to two 3.5-inch HDDs and three 2.5-inch drives. On the multi-purpose bracket, however, a 236 – mount mm radiator. Commendable: The mainboard tray has a recess on the back so that an M.2 SSD can be installed on the back of a corresponding mainboard – it’s the small details that make the case so special.
With an air-cooled system, a maximum of one 18, 2 cm high CPU cooler can be installed, on the graphics card side, models with a Total length of 32 cm, which is very generous despite the mini-ITX orientation. SilverStone also includes a support for the 3D accelerator. For the power supply up to 15 cm long ATX power supplies can be installed.
The factory setting is 120 – mm fan pre-assembled on the rear wall, alternatively a 140 – mm rotor would mount, just like two 120 – or 140 – mm fan to the Pages and a 120 – mm model in the lid.
