The brand realme was born under the name of OPPOreal from a rib of OPPO in the 2010 with the then CEO Sky Li . In the 2018 Li handed over his resignation from OPPO and began a new path released from the parent company, creating the brand now known as realme. In 2020, despite the economic difficulties generated by the pandemic, realme managed to maintain a positive trend , increasing its sales since the first quarter.

The brand in a total of 9 quarters managed to record 50 millions of shipments around the world entering the seventh place in the global market among smartphone manufacturing brands.

Important industry publications such as Counterpoint, Financial Times described the brand as the fastest in terms of growth and with a leading position in Asian emerging markets. realme increased its distribution from 35 to 61 markets which include all continents of the planet, and registered in the 2019 a annual rate of increase of 808% .

realme: the brand for young people

A key role for realme’s growth was played by the target of young people , where the brand has bet on products suitable for a young audience, through a policy based on “junior” culture by investing in elements such as music, sport and video games . Realme’s ideas for the future are to continue this philosophy, obviously with the intention of to satisfy every range of users .
