Introduction

Redragon is the gaming peripheral brand of Eastern Times Technology Co., Ltd., which is based in China and was established in 1996. Essentially, the M991 Enlightenment is Redragon’s version of Logitech’s ever-popular G502. The M991 Enlightenment comes with nine buttons in total, all of them being fully configurable within the software, which also allows customizing the rich RGB lighting. Equipped with PixArt’s PAW3370 sensor capable of 19,000 CPI, the M991 Enlightenment is said to have a battery life of up to 45 hours without illumination. Lastly, the main button switches are rated for 20 million clicks.

Both on the box and software, the M991 Enlightenment is called “Enlightment.” Since “enlightment” is not an actual English word, I’ve taken the liberty to use “Enlightenment” instead throughout the review.
